SETTING, LOCATION, AND THE SELFIE

On the few occasions I managed to visit Hull last year, I decided to capture my brief reunions in the hotels where I resided.

Black and white felt like the right choice, as my visits have been short and bittersweet. I wanted to pay homage to Antonioni’s film L’Eclisse, whose doom-laden undercurrent is punctuated by cold war architecture. The double exposure was an unforeseen, yet timely camera error.
